At least 2 folks had been killed and greater than a dozen others injured when gunfire erupted Saturday evening throughout a block celebration in Memphis, Tennessee, authorities mentioned.

In a late-night briefing, interim Memphis Police Chief Cerelyn “CJ” Davis mentioned the capturing was reported at 7:19 p.m. native time at Orange Mound Park in southeast Memphis.

Officers arrived to seek out 5 folks with gunshot wounds, Davis mentioned. Two males died on the scene and three others had been rushed to native hospitals.
