More rain for Friday with coastal flooding potential

THE TIME NOW 445. CHECK IT OUT THERE IS WATER STARTING TO POUR OVER ONTO THE CITY DOCK PARKING LOT. THERE. IN ANNAPOLIS. WE KNOW THAT THAT PARKING LOT FLOODS OFTEN. THE PROBLEM IS THE TIDE COULD GET HIGH ENOUGH TODAY TO EVEN REACH SOME OF THE BUSINESSES THERE. ON DOCK STREET. SO UNFORTUNATELY SOME PROPERTY COULD BE FLOODED TODAY IN PARTS OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, HARFORD COUNTY WILL ALSO SEE FLOODING REALLY ANYWHERE ALONG THE BAY. THE TIDES ARE RUNNING ABOVE NORMAL THROUGH THE HIGH TIDES TODAY. AND THAT’S BECAUSE WE’VE HAD A SOUTHERLY WIND WHICH HAS PUSHED WATER UP THE BAY AS IT TURNED MORE TO THE SOUTHEAST THROUGH YESTERDAY, IT PUSHED THE WATER EVEN HIGHER IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY AND PARTS OF HOWARD OR HARFORD COUNTY AS WELL. SO FOR. ANNAPOLIS, THE PEAK TIDE IS GOING TO BE AT AROUND NINE THIS MORNING. SO THE TIDE IS NOW GOING TO BE GETTING WORSE THROUGH 9:00. AND THAT’S WHEN THERE COULD BE THAT FLOODING THERE ON DOCK STREET, THEN BY HAVRE DE GRACE, THE HIGHEST TIDE WILL ACTUALLY BE THIS AFTERNOON TOWARDS 1:00, WHERE THERE’S GOING TO BE FLOODING. AT SOME OF THE LOCAL PARKS AROUND HAVRE DE GRACE. SO DO WHAT YOU CAN TO PROTECT VULNERABLE PROPERTY AND WATCH FOR ANY FLOODED ROADS THERE ALONG THE SHORELINE UNTIL THE TIDES RECEDE LATER TODAY WE HAVE A DRYING WEATHER BRIEFLY. NOW, BUT MORE SHOWERS BUILDING IN FROM THE WEST. AT LEAST THE SEVERE THREAT IS OVER OVERNIGHT. THERE WERE A FEW STRONGER STORMS IN VIRGINIA, BUT THEN THEY FELL APART BEFORE REACHING BALTIMORE. IN FACT, YOU CAN SEE THEM NOW. WELL OFF THE COAST BEHIND THAT, THOUGH, THERE ARE STILL SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STILL ENOUGH ENERGY. THERE COULD BE SOME ISOLATED LIGHTNING. TODAY. TEMPERATURES ARE STARTING OUT IN THE 60S, SO IT MAY FEEL MILD, BUT ALSO CHILLY BECAUSE IT’S DAMP OUTSIDE. SO THE KIDS WILL WANT A JACKET AS THEY HEAD OFF TO SCHOOL. A RAIN JACKET PREFERRED BECAUSE OF THE SCATTERED RAIN SHOWERS BY LUNCH BREAK. THEY’RE VERY ISOLATED SHOWERS, SO HOPEFULLY THEY CAN STILL GO OUTDOORS FOR RECESS AND THEN AFTER SCHOOL THERE MAY BE A FEW SHOWERS, BUT NOT THE ENTIRE TIME. I WOULD JUST LISTEN OUT FOR ANY THUNDER. IF YOU HAPPEN TO GET THAT WITHIN A BRIEF SHOWER. EVERYTHING THE REST OF TODAY SHOULD BE PRETTY BRIEF, WHICH MEANS YOU CAN SPEND MORE TIME OUTDOORS. THERE MAY BE A FEW PEEKS OF SUN AS TEMPERATURES REACH THE MID 60S. THE WINDS, THOUGH, WILL BE GUSTY OUT OF THE SOUTH. WE’RE GOING TO SEE THE WINDS TO A GUSTING. TO 45MPH. YOU’RE REALLY GOING TO NOTICE THAT, ESPECIALLY IF IT’S RECYCLING DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD BY TONIGHT 50 DEGREES. STILL WITH GUSTY WINDS AND A FEW MORE SHOWERS ARE PASSING THROUGH, TAPERING OFF REALLY EARLY ON SATURDAY MORNING, THEN PARTLY CLOUDY. THE REST OF SATURDAY. 62 BY THE AFTERNOON OR ACTUALLY IT SHOULD BE IN THE MID 60S. UM LOW TO MID 60S I SHOULD SAY FOR THE AREA. SO IT’S GOING TO FEEL CHILLY WITH THE WIND THERE. SO OUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST STILL MARKING THE IMPACT ICON TODAY. MOSTLY BECAUSE OF THE COASTAL FLOODING. BUT I ALSO WANT TO POINT OUT THE GUSTY WINDS. AND THEN IT’S STILL GOING TO BE GUSTY TOMORROW. JUST A FEW SHOWERS EARLY TOMORROW AND THEN WILL BE MOSTLY DRY THROUGH THE WEEKEND UNTIL A FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS COULD ROLL IN LATER ON SUNDAY. SUNDAY DOES WARM UP TO THE MID 70S SO WE’VE GOT A GOOD WEEKEND ON TAP. IT’S STILL A LITTLE BRISK THOUGH, EVEN ON SUNDAY AND MONDAY NEXT WEEK. SOME WARMER WEATHER WITH THE HIGHS AT LEAST I

More rain for Friday with coastal flooding potential

Meteorologist Ava Marie says it’s going to stay an affect climate day for Friday with thunderstorms and excessive wind gust as much as 45 mph potential. Temps will attain the mid sixties as there shall be scattered showers early earlier than the prospect for remoted thunderstorms. Coastal flooding is also a problem for these water adjoining areas. It shall be cooler and partly cloudy on Saturday with showers early and regular winds. It will heat again into the 70’s by subsequent week with principally clear skies.
