EDGEWOOD, Md. — Authorities are investigating the reason for a significant single-vehicle crash Saturday in Edgewood.

Fire officers say the crash occurred at 7 p.m. close to Willoughby Beach Road at Bauer Drive. The collision induced a downed energy line.

Photos launched from Harford County Fire present a utility pole contained in the pickup’s entrance windshield.

Crews say part of the truck’s roof needed to be eliminated to free the driving force. That particular person has been taken to Bayview Trauma and is in critical situation.

BGE has been contacted. However, it’s unclear at the moment whether or not energy has been affected.

The street going towards Flying Point Park was briefly closed. It was reopened round 9 p.m.
